Hello, I'm Indigo and this is my video game walkthrough blog. I'm not amazing but I try my best. I mostly do rpg's because faster paced games are more difficult to screenshot, but that's mostly what I play to begin with so it works out well. Games are mostly going to be Nes/Snes/Gameboy/Gameboy Advance. I hope what I've done can be helpful!

Final Fantasy II: Dawn of Souls (Part 2)

Get the Mythril from the chest, then have Minwu teleport you out. This will eat up a significant portion of his HP, so heal him after if you think he won't make it back to Salamand. Use the inn there if you want, but despite having done him a favour, Joseph has nothing new to tell us. Head all the way back to Altair.

First go to the weapon shop and give the old man the Mythril to have new merchants appear in both the weapon and armor shops with new items for sale (all made out of mythril, obviously). Buy anything you want then speak to Hilda. She'll teach you about the Dreadnought and tell you your next destination - the town of Bafsk.

If you want, you may be strong enough to go back to Flynn and fight some of the Captains there (talk to any guard) once you've fitted everyone in your party with Mythril armor. They will still deal a ton of damage (400-500) except their Bow III attack which will do around 60. However, they can drop a couple good items like the Golden Armor and Flame Bow and since their attacks deal a lot of damage, several of your stats will likely increase after each battle. I only used magic to deal damage against them and just had Minwu cast Protect on the party on the first turn and Cure every other turn. I got a Flame Bow after about 5 tries, wasn't really interested in getting the armor so I moved on after that.

When you're ready to go to Bafsk, you'll have to backtrack almost all the way to Salamand. Southeast of there is the small town of Poft (you can take a ship there from Paloom) and from Poft you can take the Airship to Bafsk for 100g. If you don't feel like paying, just continue further east through some mountains.

Once you're in Bafsk speak to this soldier and use the rebel password to get him to move. Follow him around and go down the stairs to the sewer. When the path splits go up for a Longsword. Go back and take the other path and when it splits again go down - left has nothing. The rest of the path is fairly linear, and there will be a clearly visible chest with a Longbow along the way.

On the next floor go all the way right, then again the path will turn linear until you reach an enemy blocking your path. Once you engage him though, he will leave without a fight. After the scene go back inside the caves and over to the right to find a room that contains the Pass inside a chest. On the right-hand side of this room you can also find a warp panel to lead you back outside Bafsk.

Return to Poft and ask Cid about Airships to learn the keyword Sunfire and then have him fly you back to Altair. You will notice upon arrival that the town has been attacked by the Dreadnought. Talk to Princess Hilda and Minwu will depart from your party to assist the wounded, then ask her about the Sunfire.

Before you leave speak to the king and learn about the Goddess' Bell. Go ask Hilda about our new key term and she'll tell you to talk to Joseph. Okidoke, back to Salamand it is. Speak to Joseph when you get there and ask him about the Goddess' Bell to have him join your party. Then go back to Semitt Falls.

Inspect the wall here for a scene where Joseph opens the hidden passage, then walk inside. Get the Snowcraft from the chest there. Exit the falls and go northwest, then use the new vehicle to start making your way across the snowy plains heading a long ways east. We won't have Joseph in our party for long, but outfit him with the strongest armor you have and consider trying to raise his stats a bit through this dungeon if you are planning on playing the game's optional epilogue chapter.

Once you get to the Ice Cavern, go north at the first split to get the chest with 300 gil. Then go south and dip right to get another chest with 350 gil. Continue down and go down the steps to the next floor. Here go up and right and then down another set of steps (the room on the right is empty). On this floor make your way to the top-right corner and go up the steps there.

When the path splits go right and get the Battle Axe, then start going left to find an Antidote and a Mythril Mace which will be guarded by a group of Grenade enemies. Go back and down the stairs then make your way south and around to the northwest corner and down the stairs.

On the next floor go straight up for a chest with a Potion, then go right for a Blizzard Tome. Go down from there for another Potion, then to the right of that is a Mythril Spear. Go up and as usual ignore the door because the room is empty, instead go down the stairs. On the next floor go all the way left and get the Mythril Shield then backtrack and go to the southwest corner to get the Ancient Sword guarded by a group of undead enemies.

Go all the way right and enter the room there; it's not empty for once! Speak to this giant beaver, which is apparently the most important giant beaver, Ask it about the Goddess' Bell to learn about a secret passage in the wall to the right.

Here, specifically. Follow the path in the next area around until you meet up with a large turtle enemy.

Like the Land Turtle a while ago, the Adamantoise is weak against Ice magic. I actually killed it in one hit with Maria. Afterward, take the Goddess' Bell out of the wall and go up the stairs and through the door. Make your way back to the entrance but make sure you take anyway anything extremely valuable Joseph has before engaging the next enemy. Again though, it's a bad idea to remove all his armour if you're planning to do the bonus epilogue chapter.

Well, isn't that just something? I'll wrap up part 2 here.
