Hello, I'm Indigo and this is my video game walkthrough blog. I'm not amazing but I try my best. I mostly do rpg's because faster paced games are more difficult to screenshot, but that's mostly what I play to begin with so it works out well. Games are mostly going to be Nes/Snes/Gameboy/Gameboy Advance. I hope what I've done can be helpful!

Megaman Zero: Mission 1D (Occupy Factory)

Yay! This mission is terrible but I am still excited! Mostly it's just the area that's terrible, not the mission itself.

Occupy Factory (3/7)
"Unfortunately, our stock of energy is running out... If we could use the
abandoned factory, we could generate the energy... but the boss guarding
the factory is too strong for us to gain control of it... Will you destroy the
boss for us?"

The writing for this game really is not that fantastic. Also notice how she said it's abandoned and then was like OH BUT THERE'S A BIG POWERFUL DEATH MACHINE THERE. I guess she just meant abandoned by human-shaped things.

Beenet (1/3)
Get this elf by destroying the Barrier Counters you find at the start of the level.

Ribbid [400 EC] (2/3)
This elf is found after defeating 5 of the C-Hoppers. Which is even more spiteful than usual because there are only 2 in the entire stage.

If you proceed through the main part of the factory you will encounter search programs. Coming into contact with them will cause a large door on the top floor to begin closing, and if it shuts all the way before you reach it you will have to re-start the mission. You can jump over/around them or go back outside and take an alternate route through.

To get there, use the large white pipes outside to climb up the buildings and make your way right across the tops of the smaller structures. You'll pass a few Gyro Cannons and Colppers on the way. Break down the door and bust the fans as you go along. There will be a 1up here if you go through during the mission, but only energy crystals afterward.

Greff
Whether you go through during the mission or after there will be an elf, however.

Stickle (3/3)
This elf is the last of the missable ones in this level, you get it from the yellow Securipider enemies. Somehow I don't think you'll have any trouble finding the required amount of enemies.

Winkie [1000/2000 EC]
This elf can be a bit tough to get to. You'll probably see this as you pass under the area on the carriers. Although it's not really that hard to get up here, I recommend just climbing on the side and slashing the container open. Just make sure you can see the carrier below before you drop down.

Motolar
This elf is up on a ledge right after you climb up the ladder from the last carrier. Again, I don't recommend trying to get up here because there is absolutely no reason to do so when you can just slash it with your sword. I only did it because it's hard to wall-climb and screen cap at the same time. And I didn't feel like recording a video.

Nutan [1200 EC]
This is the last elf in the stage. It's hidden in a little niche in the wall right before the boss room. You have
to dash to the wall to the left after you pass the electric beams coming up from the floor. Slide down and you will eventually pass through a broken section of wall into the area.

And now for the boss!

Boss: Orochi Arm
Weakness: None
Reward: Fire Chip

This guy's attacks depend on what set of arms it currently has extended (they will both always be the same colour). Also note that they will both attack in sequence as well - right, then left.

Red Arm: The one on the bottom will breathe a jet of fire. Simply dash to the other side to avoid it.

Blue Arm: The arm will breathe a cloud of ice that will freeze you in place if it hits. Either dash behind (since the arm will remain raised) or to the other side.

Green Arm: It will fire three balls of electricity, try to jump over the middle one.

Orange Arm: It will simply bend down and try to bite you.

The basic strategy here is to dodge the attack of the first arm, get back to the middle to swipe at the open blue "eye" and then get back out of the way for the second wave, and maybe get another swipe in after that. You can destroy the heads, but they will be repaired after a few seconds.

This is the boss's EX skill "Core Vulcan." The arms will sparkle and then the middle part will open up and fire out a wave of energy pellets. Dash away and jump over the final one or two, is the easiest way to avoid it I find. It also helps if you can kick off a wall for the ending, and it's kind of fun.

Post Mission

If you go back through the factory area after clearing the mission you can find a whole bunch of Energy Crystals - going through the entire area will get you a total of  512.
