Hello, I'm Indigo and this is my video game walkthrough blog. I'm not amazing but I try my best. I mostly do rpg's because faster paced games are more difficult to screenshot, but that's mostly what I play to begin with so it works out well. Games are mostly going to be Nes/Snes/Gameboy/Gameboy Advance. I hope what I've done can be helpful!

Megaman Zero: Interlude 1 (Defend The Base)

Defend The Base (2/3)
Soldier
"A giant enemy Mechaniloid is approaching our base. If we
don't do something, it will destroy our base in no time!!"
(note: by "we" they mean "Zero only")

Ciel
"Everyone! Guard the front of our base at all costs! Zero! Go
around and attack it from the rear... That should buy us
some time... You are our only hope... Good luck, Zero."

Hittite Hottaid

Translation, "Go around and attack it from the rear, that should solve the problem without any of us actually having to do anything". Anyway, you're automatically transported to the junkyard.

Pfft, that's not exactly what I'd call GIANT. Like, it's the size of a school bus maybe? It's more like a fairly large mechaniloid. So anyway this whole thing is kind of a time attack/boss battle mix but it's not incredibly difficult. This this is outfitted with a few different weapons, which you will have to systematically destroy in whichever order you like. Though I find it easiest to just start from the back and work my way up, personally.

The most frequent attack he'll try at the start is spitting out a set of three top-shaped bombs from what I guess would be his butt. You can slash them with your sword as they drop or just wait for them to fall on the ground and jump over them.

Once his butt nozzle is destroyed he'll start tossing stuff out of his hatch more often. From the round hatch he'll release a set of three Glare Eye enemies, and from the square section on the back he'll throw three rectangle bombs that look like stoplights with parachutes. You can just slash both of these.

Birtack (1/2)
Get this elf from destroying many of the Glare Eyes that get sent at you.

This boss's "EX Skill" is actually an entire extra phase - a pantheon hunter pops out of the destroyed round hatch and has a few different attacks. First it will shoot a stream of diagonal energy shots, which I managed to dodge (somewhat by accident) by standing right here. Second it will toss out two small bombs, and third it will shoot a metal ball that will expand into an immobilizing energy cage if it hits you.

If you let the Mechaniloid eat a bit more than half way through this yellow/orange wall, you can pick up a 1up once it's out of the way. You must also let it destroy a good chunk to access a cyber elf later. See that metal beam underneath it in the picture? That will be gone when you return to this area after the mission, so you'll have to have enough room at least for Zero to drop down into that space.

Stoctto
This elf is dropped by the boss. Not a one-chance elf since you need to grab it to end the mission.

Post Mission
Hapitan [1200 EC] (2/2)
Go back to the yellow/orange building and drop down the newly opened pit. Stick to the right side and you will fall into an alcove above the subway area that you wouldn't have been able to climb up to before.
Go to mission selection --->
