Hello, I'm Indigo and this is my video game walkthrough blog. I'm not amazing but I try my best. I mostly do rpg's because faster paced games are more difficult to screenshot, but that's mostly what I play to begin with so it works out well. Games are mostly going to be Nes/Snes/Gameboy/Gameboy Advance. I hope what I've done can be helpful!

Pokemon Gold Version - Kanto (Part VIII)

Yes, I know I said I was going to get my team to level 75. But I got quite tired of going through the Elite Four quite quickly. So these levels will have to do.

Our first stop is Pallet Town, so if you've been fighting the E4 and are back in Johto, you'll have to take the Magnet Train back to Kanto. If you don't have the Pass for the magnet train (given to you by the little girl in Saffron who lost her doll), you will have to surf east of Newbark Town to the Tohjo Falls area.

Talk to Professor Oak at his lab, then fly to Viridian City and exit the city from the west end.

Route 2
Rattata

Just keep going west and enter the building here. Follow the corridor to the left and exit into Mt. Silver.

Mt. Silver (Outside)
Ponyta
Rapidash
Donphan (Silver)
Ursaring (Gold)
Sneasel

Keep going west west west, and you will eventually come across some ledges leading up to a Pokemon Center. Heal if you'd like, then go to the water southwest of the Center and surf across to the little island in the corner in the map.

Get this hidden item, then go back to the Pokemon Center. Go east from here, following a little trail through a couple small shrubs you can cut down. Enter the house along the way and talk to the girl for a TM47 Steel Wing.

Get this hidden item, then backtrack and make your way to the cave in the northwest corner.
*Note: In order to fully navigate this cave, you will need Pokemon that know Flash, Surf, and Waterfall. I know, I know. Pain in the ass, isn't it?

Mt. Silver (Inside)
Graveler
Onix
Donphan (Silver)
Ursaring (Gold)
Larvitar

Directly to the right of you as you enter is this item ball containing an X Accuracy. Next go north, then west (ignore the steps for now), then jump over a ledge below you to reach another ball with an Escape Rope. Jump over the other ledge, make your way north again, and this time go up the steps. Follow them around and again, ignore the next set of steps to instead jump down the ledge below you.

Get the hidden item, jump over ledge, backtrack to previously ignored steps. Business as usual. At the end of the path, it will split left and right. Go left first, jump down to get the Max Elixer in an item ball, jump down, circle back. When you go right, you will see a door leading deep into the cave, but first go southeast.

Get this other hidden item at the end of the path, then go back and enter the doorway.

Mt. Silver (Chambers)
Golduck
Graveler
Onix
Quagsire
Donphan (Silver)
Ursaring (Gold)
Misdreavus
Larvitar

Get this hidden item to the left of you as you enter, then surf out into the water and climb up the waterfall. Go up, land at the steps, and enter the chamber. There is a Max Revive here. Go back to the entrance and take the steps to your north. As you follow them around, you will see another chamber door above you and more water below. Go into the water first, use Waterfall again, and you will reach another chamber. This one has a Full Restore. Backtrack to where you first entered the water and enter the door above you.

There's only one thing in here - the game's final trainer and its "boss", of sorts. Are you ready? Well, we're about to find out!

Alright, to be honest I think I may have over-prepared a bit... this fight was very easy (except for one part where I accidentally sent Noctowl out against his Espeon instead of Heracross). I also got very lucky though, because my Ampharos' Thunder attack hit his Blastoise on the first try, and my Piloswine's Earthquake attack knocked out his Snorlax with a critical hit before it had the chance to heal with Rest. If you lose, just keep battling the E4, spend all your money on Full Restores and Revives, and eventually you'll make it through.

The credits will roll, similar to when you beat the Elite Four, and you are officially done with the game's main events! If you come back after the game re-loads, Red will not be here, but he does re-appear every time you beat the Elite Four.

We still have a few side events to take care of regarding Johto's legendary Pokemon, so I will be trying to get those taken care of as soon as possible. You will be able to find coverage of that stuff in the tag Pokemon Gold (Extras). Thanks for reading!
